It has two tight cracks or hairlines, which we show in the last few photos. It also has general crazing to the glaze which gives the plate great character and look. The piece also has several old chips or possibly defects original to the making along the rim, which can be seen in the photos. The plate also has a minimum number of spots of surface losses to the glaze. Finally, as is the case with all these primitive old redware pieces, the bowl has a few of the usual defects you would expect such as pops, slubs, unglazed areas, and uneven spots. Be that as it may, these issues do not to distract from the beauty and quality of the piece.
